Monthly service charges are billed in advance for Cox Communications customers, while usage-based charges are added in the next bill, such as long-distance calls, pay-per-view movies etc.
Simply put, the bill that you receive in the beginning of a month includes charges for phone, Internet and TV services that you will receive in the following month, and is the amount that will be due on you by the end of the month. Any additional credits and purchases after the posting of your statement cannot be billed in advance. Such items may include PPV movies, product upgrades, late payment fees, one-time installation charges, long-distance calls etc. Such items are listed in the next bill you will receive.
