City of Durham Water Bill Pay options
To make paying your bill as simple as possible CDW have a variety of ways that you can pay durhamnc.gov/Bill-Pay. Your payment options are online, in person at the City Hall, by post or automatic bank draft. Having so many methods to pay means that everyone has the chance to choose the one that suits them best.
You can pay your water bill online. To log in to make payment, check your account or change details you will need to have to hand your account number and customer identification number. The computer will then search and bring up your details to allow you to make payment with ease. You can make an online payment from anywhere in the world at durhamnc.gov/Bill-Pay, so even if you jet off on holiday and remember your bill has not been paid you can do so as long as you have your details to hand.
Pay in person
If you would like to pay your bill in person you will need to visit City Hall, you can pay by card, cash or check and will receive a receipt at the time of payment for your records. If you cannot make it during office hours you can drop your payment in at the Mangum Street Entrance which will be processed the following day. If you are using a check payment allow time for the payment to be processed by paying a little early.
Post your payment
You can post your payment to CDW, but should not include cash in the envelope. What you will need to include with your check or similar payment form is the stub on your bill. If you no longer have this you should write your customer details on a separate piece of paper so that your payment can be added to your account. Postal payments should be sent to City of Durham, P.O. Box 30041, Durham, NC 27702-3041.
Set up an Automatic bank draft
If you prefer to pay your bills automatically without the fuss, you can set up an automatic bank draft. This is a great method for people who have a regular income and find it difficult to remember to pay their bill on time. It means that you can get on with the things that matter to you most safe in the knowledge that you bill will be taken from your account and you will never again have to pay a late payment fee. You will need to download the online form to give CDW permission to take the money from your account.
